There shall be a Federal Legislature consisting of two Houses: the House of Representatives and the National Assembly, which shall be called the Federal Parliament.

Nepal's Parliament has two chambers: (1) House of Representatives - 275 elected MPs, the powerful chamber, (2) National Assembly - 59 members, the upper house with limited powers. A bill must pass both houses to become law (with exceptions for Money Bills).
