What gets compared

Any two or three of the 275 sitting members of the House of Representatives can be placed side by side on their electoral and biographical record: party, province, constituency, votes received, victory margin, age, gender and seat type — first-past-the-post or proportional representation.

Proportional representation members are elected from national party lists rather than a constituency, so they have no vote count or margin of their own; those fields are shown as not applicable rather than as zero. Parliamentary voting records are not tracked — see the promise tracker for what the government as a whole has delivered.
