Committees of Parliament

Parliament may form committees for detailed examination of legislation, government oversight, financial scrutiny, and other matters. Committee proceedings have the force of parliamentary proceedings.

Parliament\'s real work happens in committees — Public Accounts Committee (audits government spending), Finance Committee (scrutinizes budget), thematic committees (education, health, defense). Committees can summon ministers, demand documents, and investigate. Their proceedings carry the same legal weight as full parliamentary sessions.
