The President shall be elected by an electoral college comprising members of the Federal Parliament and members of the Provincial Assemblies. Election shall be by single transferable vote.

The President is NOT directly elected by citizens. Instead, all national MPs (275 HoR + 59 NA) and all 550 provincial assembly members vote using the single transferable vote system. This weights federal MPs more than provincial.
