Provisions Relating to Political Parties

Political parties shall have internal democratic practices. Financial accounts must be audited and public. Parties cannot be formed on basis of religion, caste, tribe, language, or sex alone. Membership must be open to all eligible citizens.

Parties must be democratic internally - members elect leaders, not the other way around. Parties must publish and audit their finances. No party can be formed SOLELY on one caste/religion/ethnicity. All parties must include women in leadership (33% in party executive). RSP met these requirements in its formation.
