Provincial Assembly
There shall be a Provincial Assembly (unicameral legislature) in each Province to exercise legislative power on provincial matters.
Each of Nepal\'s 7 provinces has its own parliament — the Provincial Assembly. Unlike the federal Parliament (which has two houses), provincial assemblies are unicameral (one house). They pass provincial laws, approve provincial budgets, and hold the Chief Minister accountable. This is democracy at the provincial level.
प्रत्येक प्रदेशमा एक सदनीय प्रदेश सभा — प्रदेश कानुन बनाउने, बजेट पारित गर्ने, मुख्यमन्त्रीलाई जवाफदेही बनाउने।
Brings democratic representation to the provincial level — citizens don\'t depend solely on Kathmandu.
Provincial assemblies are young institutions with limited legislative experience and capacity.
