Judicial Council
The Judicial Council recommends judicial appointments, transfers, disciplinary actions, and dismissals. It consists of the CJ as chair, a senior SC judge, Law Minister, a Senior Advocate (nominated by Nepal Bar), and one legal expert.
The Judicial Council is the HR department of the judiciary. Chaired by the Chief Justice, it includes a senior SC judge, the Law Minister, a Bar Association nominee, and a legal expert. It recommends who becomes a judge, who gets transferred, who faces discipline, and who gets dismissed. It\'s the gatekeeper of judicial quality.
