जिल्ला अदालत
💡Highlight any phrase below and we'll explain what it means.
Original Text

A District Court shall be established in each district. District Courts serve as trial courts of first instance for most civil and criminal matters.

💡 Plain Language Explanation

Every district has its own court — this is where most Nepalis first encounter the justice system. District Courts handle all initial trials: criminal cases, civil disputes, land cases, family matters. They\'re the front door of justice. Appeal goes to the High Court.

🇳🇵 नेपाली व्याख्या

प्रत्येक जिल्लामा जिल्ला अदालत — नागरिकहरूको पहिलो न्यायिक सम्पर्क बिन्दु।

Good Aspects

Geographic spread ensures courts are physically present in every district.

⚠️ Concerns

Many District Courts are understaffed, underequipped, and overwhelmed with case backlogs.
