Local Revenue Sharing

स्थानीय राजस्व बाँडफाँट
💡Highlight any phrase below and we'll explain what it means.
Original Text

Revenue shall be shared between the local government and wards within it as provided by local law and the recommendations of the fiscal commission.

💡 Plain Language Explanation

Local governments share revenue downward with their wards. Each ward gets a portion of the municipal budget for its own priorities. The National Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission recommends sharing formulas. This is the final level of fiscal federalism — money flowing from Kathmandu → Province → Municipality → Ward.

🇳🇵 नेपाली व्याख्या

स्थानीय तह र वडाबीच राजस्व बाँडफाँट — राष्ट्रिय प्राकृतिक स्रोत तथा वित्त आयोगको सिफारिसमा।

Good Aspects

Ward-level funding ensures the smallest communities get their share.

⚠️ Concerns

Formulas often favor larger, urban wards over smaller rural ones.
