Provincial Government Formation
The Provincial Chief shall appoint as Chief Minister the leader of the party or coalition commanding a majority in the Provincial Assembly. The CM must win a vote of confidence within 30 days.
Provincial government formation mirrors the federal process: the Governor appoints the majority leader as CM, who has 30 days to prove their support through a confidence vote. If no single party has a majority, coalition-building begins. The largest party\'s leader gets first shot. If they fail, other combinations are tried before going to fresh elections.
प्रदेश प्रमुखले बहुमत प्राप्त दलको नेतालाई मुख्यमन्त्री नियुक्त गर्छन्। ३० दिनभित्र विश्वासको मत प्राप्त गर्नुपर्छ।
Democratic government formation with clear timeline — mirrors best practices.
Coalition politics in provinces has been unstable; frequent government changes undermine governance continuity.
